They respond best to positive reinforcement methods, such as treats and praise. Intelligent dogs like them may not want to please their owners, but get something pleasant for themselves out of the training. However, you may need to be patient with them, as they can be stubborn at times. Miniature Boxers are also relatively easy to train and are quick learners. They get along with other dogs, too, but aren’t very friendly towards strangers. However, they need plenty of socialization early on in life to prevent them from becoming aggressive or shy around people. They make great family pets and do well with children of all ages. These dogs are known for being intelligent, loving, and loyal. Miniature Boxer – Temperament and Behavior Their bodies are muscular and compact, making them agile and well-suited for active lifestyles. Miniature Boxers also have distinctively square faces with short noses, dark eyes, and floppy ears. They have short, smooth coats that can come in a variety of colors, including black, white, brown, fawn, and brindle. Some can weigh as much as 55 pounds, though, and their height ranges from 15 to 23 inches. This mix breed tends to be smaller than standard Boxers, averaging about 25 pounds for males and 22 pounds for females. The Miniature Boxer is a crossbreed between the Boston Terrier and the Boxer.
